Overview

Manaslu Trekking is a perfect composition of the mesmerizing Himalayan views, unique & interesting local culture and biological diversity. Spectacular mountain views, highly varied landscape and an extremely diverse flora and fauna make this trip more wonderful. There is extreme altitude difference in Manaslu region, the altitude ranges from 600 and reaches at an altitude of 8,163 meters from sea level. Manaslu region is regarded as one of the Nepal’s Himalayan gems.

Despite being the abode to the world's eighth highest mountain at 8,163 meters (26,781 ft) altitude from sea level, Manaslu trek remains far less crowded than other classic tea house treks in Nepal. During our whole trek we will be witnessing the breathtaking views of Mt. Manaslu and other Himalayan ranges.

Most part of our Manaslu trek involves walking on the mountain trails. ‘Larkya La Pass’ (5213 meters) is the highest point that we will be scaling in Manaslu circuit trek, which is widely believed to be one of the most dramatic Himalayan passes. The day when we cross Larkya La pass is the toughest day of our trek. For most part of the year this pass remains covered by the snow.

Manaslu Mountain Trekking used to be a camping trek till 2010. Only after 2010 it was turned to be a tea house trek. The Manaslu circuit trek is regarded as a classic trek because of its breathtaking scenery, suspension bridges and a dramatic Himalayan pass above 5100 meters.
Just like the Kanchenjunga trekking region, Manaslu trek is also a restricted area trekking region so trekkers must obtain a special permit to enter into this region. To trek in this region the trekkers must go through a Nepal Government registered trekking company. Manaslu trekking can be the most suitable trekking destination for the trekkers who want to trek on the off the beaten trekking trail. This trek can also be the ideal destination for the trekkers who are seeking for a thrilling adventure through the peaceful and serenity of the Snowcapped Himalayan ranges.

Tsum Valley can be the wonderful side trip in the Manaslu trekking region. Tsum Valley lies in the eastern part of the Philim village. This valley was opened for the tourist only since 2008. This region is abode to the one of the most endangered indigenous ethnic group known as the “Tsumbas”. Valley is surrounded by Himalchuli to its west and the Ganesh Himal to its south. This trek also provides and opportunity to get indulged into the local culture that is influenced by the Tibetan culture residing beyond the mountains. Many Tibetans flew to this valley during the war and since then they and their descendents are residing in this region.

Picturesque panoramic view of Mt. Manaslu, Mt. Himchuli, Ganesh Himal and plenty of other small peaks can be witnessed during the trek. Not only the himalayan ranges but also the Glacial lakes, various species of birds & animals, waterfalls, long Mani walls, Chortens, river and rivulets will be seen during the trek. Our trail also passes through the pine, bamboo and rhododendron forests.
