Overview

Langtang valley trekking is one of the nearest Himalayan regions trekking from Kathmandu Valley where we can enjoy the spectacular view of snow-capped mountains and gorgeous glaciers. Langtang valley is located on the north of Kathmandu valley and is only 19 miles from Kathmandu. Langtang region being very close to Kathmandu is still a primitive rural region and has been hugely influenced by Tibetan cultures because it was a famous trade route to Tibet at past. And presently, this is the only land route connecting Nepal to China. After the earthquake of 2015, the Tatopani border was sealed so currently only trade route that’s in operation is Rasuwagadi - Kerung border which passes through our trek route. Langtang trek is suitable for all age groups as it is a very easy teahouse trek in comparison to other trek route. Even amateur trekkers can complete this trek without having any problems.
Langtang Valley Trekking is one of the most popular trekking regions for those wishing a short trek in Himalayas of Nepal. Locals in and around Langtang valley are greatly influenced by Tibetan lifestyle; most of the locals are the descendant of Tibetan origin.
After a few hours’ drive from Kathmandu we will be entering into the beautiful Langtang region. During our few hours’ drive we will also be enjoying the adventure of driving through the landslide road.
Our Langtang Valley trek starts from Syabrubesi.  Syabrubesi is a hub for the locals living in the nearby villages. From Syabrubesi for most part of the trek we will be walking along the Langtang River. There are no steep climbs during our trek to Langtang valley we just have to climb a gentle slope. In our Langtang trek we will have to cross few suspension bridges; pass through local villages inhabited by Tibetans, Tamangs and Sherpas community people. We will also move through the lush green bamboo, conifers, rhododendrons and oaks forest. There is also a local yak cheese factory in Langtang valley. Langtang Valley lies just below the rocky mountain cliff. In reaching near to the Langtang valley prayer flags start to appear.  Prayers flags, chortens and Mani walls can be seen in the main tracks as soon as we leave Langatang valley for Kyangjin Gompa.
In reaching Kyanjin Gompa we will be visiting ancient Buddhist monastery and glaciers. From Kyanjing Gompa we can trek to Kyanjo Ri or Tsergo Ri view point for spectacular views of mountains and glaciers.  From the top, we will see 360-degree panoramic view of mountains. Langtang Lirung, Langshisa, Ganja la Peaks are the centre of attraction that we can see during the trek. If we climb to the top of Tsergo Ri (4984 meters) we will see breathtaking view of nearby peaks including Dorje Lakpa (6966 meters), and if weather is fine we can also see Shisha Pangma (8013 meters), the only 8,000-meter peak in Tibet. We will stay one more night in Kyanjing Gompa to visit Langshisha Valley. Our Langtang valley trek ends at Syabrubesi, the same place from where we started our trek. Though the trek ends sooner than you expected the moments that you had experienced during the Langtang trekking will forever remain in your memories.
